“Joseph was the swimming instructor for my two children, ages and 3, for an 18-lesson package. My oldest son had extensive previous experience with ISR and Swim America but still was not able to competently or safely swim when we started the course. He has ADHD, Autism, and Sensory Processing Disorder, so it’s always been difficult for him to focus and behave in swim class, let alone retain the knowledge taught. My youngest had no previous swimming instruction and was in fact terrified of the water and would not go further than the steps without screaming, crying, or being held.

At the end of the 18 lessons, my oldest was able to swim like he was born to water, could swim a pool length underwater, could dive to the bottom of the pool, could swim 2 different strokes, and was halfway to learning a third. He is a strong swimmer now, and more importantly, now he has confidence in his ability when he didn’t before. My youngest can now float unassisted, pull himself out of the pool, use a kickboard to do laps unassisted, and do short strokes from a jump into the water unassisted. Swimming time for him is now stress and worry-free, and he enjoys spending time in the pool.
